Classes Schedule: Tuesday, April 14 (6:30 pm- 7:30 pm)

📍 Training Location:  Hollywood Feed Pet Store (Falls Pointe Shopping Center) 9660 Falls of the Neuse Rd. Training Location: On pleasant weather days, we’ll take our training outdoors to a private location just across Durant Road, allowing your dog to practice skills in a real-world setting.

The first class is orientation. This prerequisite session will provide the information necessary to prepare you & your companion for training.

Basic Obedience is a 7-week course designed for dogs aged 6 months and older. This foundational program strengthens the bond between you and your dog while preparing them for more advanced training. Whether your goal is agility, therapy work, or specialized service tasks, success begins with a solid base in obedience.

During the course, your dog will learn essential leash skills and foundational commands such as watch me, sit, wait, down, stay, leave it, and recall. We’ll also focus on developing impulse control and polite manners. In addition, we’ll address common behavior challenges like jumping, barking, chewing, leash pulling, and more.
Basic obedience training goes beyond just teaching commands. You’ll develop essential management skills for both home and public settings, while gaining a deeper understanding of your dog’s behavior—equipping you to train more effectively and build a stronger relationship with your dog.

Classes progress weekly to avoid overwhelming you or your dog. Each session includes detailed, handwritten homework to guide your at-home practice and reinforce what you’ve learned in class.

Class Requirements:

  • Dogs must be 6 months of age
  • Proof of vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper & Parvo) must be brought to orientation).
  • Required training equipment – easy walk harness or medium to large breeds. Regular harness for small dogs
