Welcome To Puppy Kindergarten – Level Two
Puppy Kindergarten (Level 2) builds on the skills you acquire in Puppy Training (Level 1). The Puppy Training (Level 2) class runs for seven weeks and is open to puppies aged 4 months up to approximately 12 months of age. This course picks up where Puppy Kindergarten leaves off.
In this class, you and your pup will continue your training journey working on new skills and solidifying skills taught in Puppy Kindergarten.

- Down/ Stay/Duration
- Go To your mat.
- Settle
- Recall
You will continue to work on Loose Leash Walking with longer lead, Polite Greetings, Door Manners and more.

Benefits Of the AKC Puppy Star Certification
This is an excellent class for you and your puppy to continue working on foundation skills along with the distraction of other puppies and people. This class will pay special attention to your puppy’s obedience proficiency and advancement. AKC Puppy All Star procedures are the focus of this class. AKC Puppy All Star testing will be available upon completion of this course.
*Prerequisite: Puppy Kindergarten 1 graduation within last 2 months of Puppy Kindergarten 2 class start date.
Set your puppy up for a lifetime of success with the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program! This class will help to create a well-socialized puppy with a solid foundation of skills for all other learning. S.T.A.R. stands for Socialization, Training, Activity, Responsibility, all qualities we highly support and endorse!
The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test will be administered on the last day of class for a chance to earn your certificate and the official AKC S.T.A.R. puppy medal, all of which is included in the cost of class. AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy provides a good lead-in to earning the Canine Good Citizen title.
Upon passing the test, you’ll get an application to send to AKC® for enrollment in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program. All dogs are welcome to participate in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program including purebreds and mixed breeds.
Your puppy will receive the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Medal (for display or memento purposes; not suitable as a collar tag). You and your puppy will be listed in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy records. In addition, so that you can continue learning, you’ll receive our AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy package that includes:
- A beautiful, frameable certificate designating your puppy is in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy records at AKC
- AKC Puppy Handbook, a valuable resource
- Discount to enroll in AKC Reunite, a 24-hour recovery service
